Iceland 2005
In late June and early July 2005 I was privileged to
participate in a photographic workshop organised by the Icelandic nature
photographer
Daniel Bergmann. I had met and worked
alongside Daniel during my previous trip to
Iceland in 2004 and when he let it be
known that he was organising a workshop I didn't take much convincing to
sign up. The following are only a small selection of over 1400 images that
I captured using Canon EOS 1D MKII and a borrowed 1DsMKII (thanks to
Coleman Fung) cameras. Additional images will be uploaded when time allows.
During the 9 days of this my second trip to Iceland we
spent most of our time in the south eastern part of the island
photographing areas that included the: Kerlingarfjoll mountains, Fjallabak
nature reserve, Landmannalaugar, Stadarfjall mountains, HÛl·rjokull
glacier, Cape IngÛlfshofdi, and finally the South Fjallabak. We shot in all
kinds of weather, although mostly wet, and at all hours of the day, which
should go some way to explaining the sometimes strange colouring of the
images. Lenses used included: Canon 24mm Tilt Shift, Canon 16-35mm Zoom,
Canon 24-70mm Zoom and Canon 70-200mm Zoom.
