This latest update to Lightroom Classic CC provides critical fixes to the version 7.3, which was introduced in early April.
Issues fixed in Lightroom Classic CC 7.3.1 (April 2018 release)
Adobe have fixed the issue of backup catalog getting corrupted on Windows. To resolve corruption issue in the backed up catalogs, update to Lightroom Classic CC v7.3.1, then back up your catalogs again. If you’re backing up your catalogs on macOS, see this known issue related to catalog compression below.
Known issue in Lightroom Classic CC 7.3.1 (April 2018 release)
(Only on macOS) When backing up your catalogs on macOS, Lightroom Classic doesn’t compress (zip) catalogs that have a file size less than 4 GB. As a workaround to this issue, manually compress the backed up catalog files. Compressed files take up less hard disk space. By default, Lightroom Classic saves backed up catalogs to the following location on macOS:
/Users/[user name]/Pictures/Lightroom/[catalog name]/Backups
Profiles and Presets
>Some Lightroom Presets are not converting to new XMP format
- After launching 7.3.1 all the lua based Presets(lrtemplate) will be re-converted to XMP and lrtemplate files names will be prefixed by double ~ (for example: ~~PresetName.lrtemplate). See this Technote for more information.
>Develop Presets not sorting correctly after conversion to new XMP format
- Adobe have fixed the issue of Presets not getting converted completely.
- Adobe have fixed the crash occurring on Mac while performing CMD+Z after applying profiles.
- Adobe have also fixed the crash occurring on Mac after applying Profiles (especially B&W).
